Georgiana (Garrett) Richardson

Georgiana Richardson, 92, of Owensville, IN, passed away at her home on April 2, 2024. She was born to the late George and Margurite (Pollard) Garrett on March 13, 1932, in Johnson, IN. Georgiana was a member of the Maumee General Baptist Church and attended Owensville General Baptist Church. She worked for Potter and Brumfield as a secretary for 22 years before her retirement in 1987. After retirement, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Owen “Bud” Richardson; son, Gary Richardson; sister, Mary(Gilbert) Glick; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Richardson. She is survived by her children, Donnie (Bridget) Richardson of Fort Branch, IN and Doris Ann (Donnie) Coleman of Owensville, IN; daughter-in-law Alice Richardson; sister, Loretta (Ronnie) Dunning of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Jason (Katie) Richardson, Crystal (Winston) Thomas, LaDonna (Tracy) Johnson, Jeff (Barb) Coleman, Jaclyn (Derrick) Hill, and Emily Karaff; great grandchildren Madison Fetcher, Sydney Fetcher, Olivia Thomas, Tracie Ann Jones, Cole Allen Johnson, Jessica Marvel, and Jamie Krug; and 9 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch,IN, with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Committal services will be at Maumee Cemetery in Owensville, IN, prior to burial.
