Welcome to the memorial page for

Hunter Lee Schott

January 23, 1985 ~ November 22, 2017 (age 32) 32 Years Old

Hunter Lee Schott, 32, of Haubstadt, IN formerly of Kennesaw, GA, passed away at home on November 22, 2017. He was born to Skeet and Judy (Stoughton) Schott in Newport Beach, CA on January 23, 1985.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons during Hunter’s 32 years of life. From California to Georgia to Indiana, Hunter loved to drive his jeep, ride his Harley, and shoot targets. His accurate shot led him to the Marine Corps as soon as he graduated from Kennesaw High School in 2003. While in the Marine Corps, Hunter served our country in 2 tours of duty in Iraq and 1 tour in Afghanistan. He was in the Marines for 8 years and had achieved the rank of Corporal, was a martial arts green belt, and was in aircraft maintenance for 4 ½ years. Once he returned to U.S. soil, he enjoyed the outdoors, preferably from the view of a 4-wheeler, motorcycle, or jeep. Hunter knew how to play, but valued the importance of hard work. He enjoyed tackling a challenge, fixing whatever needed fixed, or helping a friend in need. He was intelligent, with a mind full of knowledge, always craving to learn more. Hunter lived life to the fullest and loved his wife and daughter deeply.

Hunter is survived by his loving wife of almost 3 years; Jen Schott of Haubstadt, IN, daughter; Renlee, parents; Skeet and Judy Schott of Kennesaw, GA, sister; Shannon Schott of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, grandmother; Dona Stoughton of Kennesaw, GA, mother and father in law; Dino and Laura Sollman of Haubstadt, IN, brothers in law; Nick (Amanda) Sollman of Cynthiana, IN and Jon (Katie Kiesel) Sollman of Fort Branch, IN, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved dogs Tigg and Charlie.

Services will be on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home with Father Kenneth Betz as celebrant.
