John "Johnny" Jenkins Obituary

John ”Johnny” G. Jenkins, 49 of Warrenton IN passed away at Jewish Hospital in Louisville Ky.  On September 12, 2018. Johnny was born on May 27, 1969 in Gallatin, TN to the Reverend Glenn and Linda (Britt) Jenkins.   He was a graduate of Wood Memorial High School, attended Oakland City University and worked at Toyota Logistics Services until his health no longer allowed.  Johnny was an avid St Louis Cardinals Baseball fan also Alabama Football and Gibson Southern Titans Football.  He enjoyed huntin and fishin but his greatest joy was his family and especially his son, Peyton.  Johnny is preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow and Prudence Jenkins , Roy Britt and his mother-in-law Bernie Burger. 

He is survived by his wife Lori (Burger) Jenkins of Warrenton, son Peyton Jenkins of Warrenton IN., his parents Reverend Glen and Linda Jenkins of Evansville IN, brother Stephen (Susan) Jenkins of Fort Branch IN, grandmother, Pearl(Nanny) Britt of Franklin KY,  Father-in-law Gene Burger of Warrenton, IN, and several nieces and nephews and extended family.Services will be on Monday September 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Reverend Glenn Jenkins officiating.

Friends may visit on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home and again on Monday, September 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. till service time. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Haubstadt. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Jewish Hospital transplant team, Doctors and Nursing Staff with a special thank you to Transplant Coordinator, Nancy Blellis.

In Lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Gibson County Animal Service.
