Leslie A. Thompson, 74, of Francisco, IN, passed away on February 6, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born to the late Ralph and Lula (Frost) Thompson in Sneadville, TN on March 12, 1944.
He worked at Whirlpool in Evansville, IN for 44 years where he acquired many lifelong friends. He was a member of the Oakland City Eagles and Union Local 808.
Besides his parents, Leslie is preceded in death by his brother Claude Thompson.
Leslie is survived by his loving wife Wanda (Potts) Thompson of Francisco, IN, a son; Brad Thompson of Bone Gap, IL, step-daughters; Angela (Shane) Roth of Oakland City, IN and Leslie Kolle Rice (Brandon White, fiancé) of Pensacola, FL, sisters; Patty Armstrong of Owensville, IN, Darlene Gumbel of St. Phillips, IN, and Jean Fark of Princeton, IN, a brother; Bill (Mary) Thompson of Princeton, IN, grandchildren; Dillon and Tyson Thompson, Tarah and Ashley Roth, and Makenna Rice, and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Blythe Chapel Cemetery in Owensville, IN with Pastors Kevin and Amy Gammon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Linda E. White Hospice House and VNA Hospice.
