Stuart Russell Scott

Stuart Russell Scott, 65, of Evansville, Indiana departed this life on February 25, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born November 16, 1952, the son of Russell Scott and Anna (Holtkamp) Scott who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Martha (Wilzbacher) Scott; daughter, Emily Scott; brother, Mark Scott, and sister, Gail (Scott) Hagan.

Stuart graduated from Castle High School and attended ITT Technical Institute. He worked for the family business, Scott Boiler, in his younger years and eventually retired from a 14-year career at Norfolk Southern Railroad.

He was a man of great unpretentiousness who found beauty in the simple things in life. He loved duck and goose hunting and any opportunity to work with his hands – a clever tinkerer. Those who knew Stuart often found him to be very unique for both his sense of humor and thought processes.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Stodghill Funeral Home.
