LeRoy (Lee) Charles Busing, 87, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Portage, IN passed away on July 27, 2021 at Larsen Pavilion in Fort Myers, FL. He was born May 21, 1934 in Haubstadt (Gibson County) Indiana to the late Roy and Caroline (Schurmeier) Busing.

He retired from National Steel (Midwest Division) on July 31, 1996 after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Linda (Schaefer) Busing, daughter, Debra (Paul) Wiseman, son, Randall (Idee) Busing, and grandchildren, Laura and Gregory. Also surviving are several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Wheeler, and brother, Harold Busing.

Memorial services will be private with burial in St. James Cemetery, Haubstadt, Indiana. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care that Lee received at the Larsen Pavilion, especially to the nurses and staff on the Second Floor. They also wish to express their gratitude to the Hope Hospice personnel and the Shell Point Home Care Services staff.
