Agnes Titzer, a cherished mother, devoted nurse, and beloved friend, peacefully passed away on January 28th, 2026, at St. Charles Health Center in Jasper, Indiana. Born on September 16, 1932, in Ludlow, Kentucky, Agnes was the daughter of Sylverster and Anna Teipe (Humpert).

She is lovingly remembered by her family, who mourn the loss of her guiding spirit, and is predeceased by her five beloved siblings: Mary Ann (Robert) Meyer, Helen (Bill) Dewig, Wilma (Leland) Kensler, Thelma (Dick) Wagner, and Alvin (Marilyn) Teipe. In 1953, Agnes married the love of her life, Robert Titzer, with whom she shared a beautiful 45-year marriage until his passing in 1998. Together, they raised three wonderful children: David (Karen), Michael (Deb), and Joan Titzer, and were blessed with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Agnes dedicated 44 years of her life to nursing at hospitals in Princeton and Jasper, where her compassionate care and unwavering dedication touched the lives of countless patients and families. A vibrant member of her community, she was actively involved in Holy Cross Parish in Fort Branch, participating in the Holy Name Society and the Choir, where her voice brought joy and comfort to many.

During their retirement years, Agnes and Robert made cherished memories at Christmas Lake Village in Santa Claus, Indiana, remaining active members of St. Nicholas Parish. Agnes’s life was a beautiful testament to love, service, and community, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Graveside service will be Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch.
