Alice Ann LaMar, 93, of Owensville, IN, passed away on March 27, 2025, at Heritage Center in Evansville, IN. She was born on August 13, 1931, in Haubstadt, IN, to the late Chester and Mabel (Sides) Williams.

Alice was a devoted member of the First Christian Church of Owensville. She graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1949 and worked as an operator for the Princeton Telephone Company for 20 years, later working at Joe's Red and White in Owensville for 10 years. On May 20, 1950, she married her loving husband, Charles LaMar. They shared 51 years together before his passing in July 2001.

In her free time, Alice enjoyed crocheting and watching IU basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles LaMar; daughter, Lucinda LaMar; siblings, Lloyd Williams, Alfred Williams, and Emily Harmon; and son-in-law, Jerry McGillem.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen McGillem of Princeton, IN, and Richard "Dick" (Debbie) LaMar of Owensville, IN; grandchildren, Heather McGillem, Matthew (Andrea) McGillem, Jennifer (Matt) Hoover, and Eric LaMar; and 2 great-grandchildren, Maddie Balentine and Travis Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Committal and burial will follow at Owensville Cemetery.
