Alma Marie France (Garrett) was born on March 20, 1937 to the late John and Edith (Roberts) Garrett of Owensville. She went peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9 th . She attended Owensville Community High School, Class of 1955. Alma was happily married to Paul Rudolph France for 62 years who preceded her in death in February of 2020. She was born and raised in Owensville, IN where she was one of six children: brothers Bob, George, and Leroy Garrett, and sisters Roberta Wright and Betty Creek, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her two children, Gloria Sue Wilcox (Rodney Harp) and Steven Paul France (Jamie Titzer). She was a wonderful Nanny to three grandchildren, Brent (Katrina) Wilcox, Kayla (Aaron) Perschbacher, and Hannah France. She was a proud great grandmother to three girls, Lucia June (3) and Brenlee Sue (1) Wilcox, and Adaline Sue Perschbacher (1). She was also survived in death by several nieces and nephews.

Alma was a beautician in her early years. Throughout her life, she was a proud farm wife and owner/manager of modular home parks in Gibson County all while raising two children and being a very big part of her grandchildrens lives. She attended First Christian Church in Owensville.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Dr. Roberto Iglesias for his excellent care, compassion, and sincere kindness to Alma during the last 6 months of her life. Also, thank you to the nursing staff at the Linda White Hospice House for their kindness and care during her last days. Alma, known as Marie to her family and Nanny by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, will always be remembered for her grace, wisdom, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
