Obituary

Alphonse A. (Al) Will, 96, of Haubstadt, IN., passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.. Al was born to the late Frank and Cathrine (Reising) Will on Oct. 17, 1911, in St. Joe, IN.. He was retired from Emge Meat Packing Co. after 41 years of service. He was a member of the St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN., the Haubstadt, Knights of Columbus, where he was 3rd and 4th Degree, and the Darmstadt Senior Club. Al was an avid Cincinnatti Reds fan, and enjoyed his family and friends. Besides his parents, Al is preceded in death by his wife, Verena C. (Maurer) Will, who passed away on Dec. 6, 1999, 1 daughter Sharon Will in 1948, 1 grandchild, Monte Jackson in 1982, and 9 brothers and sisters, Clara Baumgart, Elmer Will, Sister Conradine Will OSF, Ray Will, Antoinette Berendes, Leo Will, Wilfred Will, Urban Will, and Sylvester Will. He is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Janet (Kenny) Gest of Evansville, IN., Susie (Jim) Gries of Fort Branch, IN., Ken (Lu Ann) Will of Elkhart, IN., and Tim (Janice) Will of Sacramento, CA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Tammi Lattner, Shelley Daugherty, Robyn Taylor, Jody Jackson, Jason Gries, Amy Beebe, Kelly Will, and Christopher Will, and 2 step grandchildren, Alyssa Lulie, and Eric Lulie, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the St.s Peter and Paul Catholiolic Church in Haubstadt, IN. Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser, Lowell Will, will be the Celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN., where a rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home that evening.. The family requests that any donations be made to the St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Sisters of St. Benedict.
