Barbara Jane Spindler, 63, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 29, 2025. She was born to the late Norbert and Margie (Martin) Adler on January 7, 1962, in Evansville, IN.

Barb was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt where she attended grade school. She graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1981. She married her loving husband Jeffrey Spindler on September 26, 1992. Barb's faith was very important to her as she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella #151, Sts. Peter and Paul Bereavement team, and attended Christ Renews his Parish Retreat (CHRP). In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with her nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Besides her parents, Norbert and Margie Adler, she is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Adler; mother-in-law, Rosalie Spindler; brothers-in-law, Kevin Spindler, Edward Reinhart, and Howard Kays; and sister-in-law, JoAnne Adler.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Jeff Spindler of Haubstadt; siblings, Patricia Reinhart of Fort Branch, Dr. Thomas Adler (Marilyn) of Bend, OR, David Adler (Linda) of Brownsburg, IN, Joan Kays of Haubstadt, Susan Forney (Ronald) of Evansville, Jeffrey Adler (Cindy) of Haubstadt, and Mary Jo Braun (Patrick) of Newburgh; sisters-in-law, Lori Adler of Carmel, IN, Lisa Kern (John) of Owensville, and Elaine Goebel (Bernie) of Poseyville; brothers-in-law, Randy Spindler (Tammy) of Haubstadt, Eric Spindler (Gayle) of Haubstadt, Terry Spindler (Robyn) of Haubstadt, Mark Spindler (Vicki) of Owensville, Stan Spindler of Haubstadt, and Jason Spindler (Lynn) of Haubstadt; father-in-law, Leo Spindler of Owensville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary starting at 9:30 a.m. Father Phillip Rogier and Father Andrew Thomas will be co-celebrants. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home. Recitation of the rosary and prayer services will be on Friday at 2:30 p.m. performed by the Daughters of Isabella. Burial and committal services will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
