Barbara B. Gordon, 83, of Owensville, IN, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at her daughters residence in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born to the late Robert H. and Alma Jane (Biddinger) Bingham on Jan. 19, 1928 in Washington, IN. She was retired as a bookkeeper for Robert McDaniels. Barbara was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, IN. She was a member of the Princeton D of I, a member of the Josepines, the D.A.R., she was oblate for the Sisters of Benedictine Mission, and was a member of the VFW Post #1147 Womens Aux.. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey M. Gordon, who passed away on Dec. 25, 2002. She is Survived by her daughter, Jane (Jim) Baker of Fort Wayne, IN, a sister Jo Ann Chappelle of Lincoln, Neb., 2 grandchildren, Blake Gordon Cunningham, and Christopher Grant Cunningham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wed. Sept. 7, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the St Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, IN, with a rosary to be recited at 9:40 A.M. at the church. There will be no visitation. Father Ron Zgunda will be the celebrant and burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery in Owensville, IN. Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN is in charge of arrangements.
