Betty L. Houchins, 93, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville, IN.  She was born on Feb. 20, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Anthony Wayne and Mabel (Hussey) Lewis.

She was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church, she was a Charter member of the Fort Branch VFW Post 2714 Women's Aux.  Betty also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital for 17 years.

Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband , Robert D. Houchins , and her son, Max Houchins.

Betty is survived by Her son George (Nancy) Houchins of Haubstadt, IN, 4 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, with Rev. John Baylor officiating.  A visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
