Betty Lou Ross, 88, of Owensville, IN, passed away at Riveroaks Health Campus on January 6, 2024. She was born to the late George and Pearl (Jolley) Penner on April 21, 1935, in Griffin, IN.

Betty was a member of Dayspring Church in Owensville. She worked as a housekeeper for Owensville Convalescent Nursing Home for 20 years until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, spending time with her friends and family, working puzzles, and going out to eat.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Billy Joe Ross; son,Benny Ross; brothers, Bill Penner and Elwood Penner; sisters, Shirley Moxley,Dorothy Sanders, and Carolyn Sue Stinson; and sister-in-law, Sue Penner.

She is survived by her children, Randy (Roberta) Ross of Newberry, SC, Sandy Ross of Evansville, IN, and Billy (Debbie) Ross of Owensville, IN; brother, Tom Penner of Princeton, IN; 6 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor Bob Douglas officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. The burial and committal service will be at Owensville Cemetery following funeral services.
