Carolyn Sue (Creek) Rogers, 87, passed away on Monday January 13, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born in Owensville, IN on March 18, 1937 to the late Ralph Marvel Creek and Versa Elizabeth (Garrett) Creek. Carolyn graduated from Owensville High School in 1955. She married Richard Glen Rogers on June 9. 1957. They celebrated 43 years together before Richard passed away on December 1. 2000. Carolyn enjoyed bowling and telling jokes, having a sense of humor until death. She was a member of Maumee General Baptist church. Carolyn helped her parents and husband farm for many years. She also worked at Gibson Southern High School as a cook. She was a bookkeeper for Gibson County highway and a clerk for Community Natural Gas. She is survived by her son Brian (Karen) Rogers of Seymour, IN; a daughter Beth Ann Rogers of Ft Wayne IN; Grandchildren Eric Rogers and Marissa Rogers of Seymour; a sister Cinda (Ron) Perkins of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is valued friend, Sharon Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother Ralph Lindal Creek, husband, much loved daughter Terri Lynn Rogers, grandson Lee Aaron Rogers and a special friend Galen Kelley. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM on January 18, 2025 until time of service at 1:00 PM with Ken Nelson officiating at Stodghill Funeral Home. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Cynthiana, IN.
