Carrie M. Holzmeyer, 99, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 7, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. She was born on May 19, 1912 in Princeton, IN to the late Louis, and Caroline (Obert) Deiss. Carrie was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. Besides her parents, Carrie is also preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Preske, a grand daughter, Karen Georges, and a daughter in-law Theresa Holzmeyer. She is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Holzmeyer of Fort Branch, IN, and Darvin Holzmeyer of Rockford, IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, Mar. 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, Father Tony Ernst will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Saturday. The family would like to thank SouthernCare Hospice and River Oaks Health Campus for the special care given to their mother. The family request that any donations be made to the Karen Georges Memorial Fund at Holy Cross.
