Cecilia T. Spindler Cecilia T. Spindler, 82 of Haubstadt, IN passed away on Friday, March 2nd, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born to the late Joseph and Rosa (Elpers) Gries on Feb. 2, 1925 in Evansville, IN. She is a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, The Quilters Group, the American Legion Post 194 Womens Aux., and the St. James Altar Society. Cecilia is preceded in death by 7 brothers and 2 sisters, Ben, Henry, William, Aloysius, Ed, Francis, and Tony Gries, Marie Brenner, and Ottilia Spindler. She is survived by her husband Edward A. Spindler and her 6 children and their spouses. Marilyn R. (George) O'Neal of Evansville, IN, Rose Ann ( Jerry ) Lofton of Haubstadt, In, Melvin ( Tina) Spindler of Evansville, IN, Mildred (Joe) Schmitt of Haubstadt, IN, Albert (Deena) Spindler of Evansville, IN, and Eugene (Brenda) Spindler of Haubstadt, IN. Cecilia's also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Monday, 10:00A.M., March 5th, 2007 at the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, Fr. Kenneth Betz and Fr. Ray Brenner will be the Celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 4th, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 10:00 A.M .at the church on Monday. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home Sunday Evening. The family request that any donations be made to the St. James Catholic Church or to the Visiting Nurse Association.
