Charles Dewayne Thomas, formerly of Gibson County, recently passed away at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Charles was born August 11, 1937 in Gibson County to Howard and Marie (Hurst) Thomas. He was a US Army Veteran and served as a radar technician in Anchorage, Alaska. He spent most of his life working in the electronics field. He retired as an engineer from Evansville Cable TV and worked the last fifteen years for the YMCA in Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by his wife Willa (Young) Thomas in 1992, parents, brothers Verne, Ralph, Robert, and sisters Dorthey and Velma.
He is survived by sons Carl (Terri) Lofton of Ft. Branch, Indiana, Kevin (Sandy) Moore of Owensville, Indiana, daughters Brenda (Ernie) Dominguez of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Emily (Daron) Norwalk of Evansville, Indiana, Deana Chapman of Hazelton, Indiana, Rhonda (Ming) Tam of Vincennes, Indiana, eleven grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 5 th at 4 P.M. at Decker Chapel Cemetery east of Patoka. Stodghill Funeral Home, Ft. Branch, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
