Obituary

Cheryl Jean Lott, 71, of Princeton, IN, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN, on July 31, 2023. She was born to the late Jesse and Geneva (Shoptaugh) Roy on February 29, 1952, in Evansville, IN.

Cheryl was a member of The Princeton Church in Princeton, IN. She married the love of her life, Larry Lott, on March 9, 1969, and they started a beautiful family. She and her husband Larry were foster parents for ten years and have touched so many lives. She was "Mom" to many, "Granny" to more, and "Gee" to a few. She was also an avid crafter for many years.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jessica Lott; siblings, Delores Zehner, Jesse Roy, Jr., Kenny Roy, Tommy Roy, Ruby Thompson, Bonnie Queenan, Betty Chivalier, Ronnie Roy, June Curtis, Glenn Roy, and Helen Canfield; and a brother-in-law, Richard Arnold.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Larry Lott of Princeton, IN; her children, Bobby (Susan) Lott of Brownsburg, IN, Shari (Brenny) Mahoney of Owensville, IN, Leighanna (Jason) Ramsey of Portland, OR, Chise Lott of Fort Branch, IN, Ali (Sayer) Houchin of Haubstadt, IN, Spencer Lott of Princeton, IN, Sierra (Wesley King) Lott of Princeton, IN, Heaven Lott of Princeton,IN, and Jada Lott of Princeton, IN; siblings, Rosie Arnold of Venice, FL and Eugene Roy of Evansville, IN; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor Wayne Wester officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Graveside committal will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson, KY, at 3:30 p.m. Donations in her honor can be made to The Isaiah 1:17 Project and the Trotter House of Gibson County.
