Daniel Frederick Otto, 61, of Oakland City, IN, passed away on Tuesday, Mar. 21st, 2006 at the Columbia Health Care Facility in Evansville, IN. He was born to the late Raymond P. (2001) and Veronica (Fuhs) (2000) Otto on Feb. 2nd, 1945 in Evansville, IN. Daniel was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN, and had recently joined the Barton Twp. Lions Club. He was a very compassionate soul, who loved to work with horses and animals. One of his many joys in life was to help others. Besides his parents, Daniel is also preceded in death by 2 brothers Theodore A. Otto in 1954, and Father Raymond Otto in 2003, and his Aunt Clara Mae Otto in 1998. He is survived by 2 brothers and a sister David P. Otto of Cold Springs, Minn., John J. Otto of Elberfeld, IN, and Sister Ida Otto OSB of Ferdinand, IN A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Thursday, Mar. 23rd, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN, Fathers Sylvester Lorilien, Tony Ernst, and Paul Ferguson will be the celebrants. Vistation will be on Wednesday, Mar. 22nd at the Church from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. And again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Thursday. A rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday night at the church.. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Barton Twp. Lions Club, The American Cancer Society, Holy Cross School or The CSMA Scholarship Fund. Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN is in charge of local arrangements.
