Darryl C. Bent, 64, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at his residence on Wed. May 21, 2014.  He was born on Dec. 23, 1949 in Evansville, IN to the late Charles and Cathryn (Sackett) Bent.

He worked at Potter and Brumfield for 20 years and Peterson Mfg. for 18 years as an electrical engineer.  He graduated from the University of Evansville in 1977 and was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Erin Bent of Evansville, IN, a brother, Bill (Jenny) Bent of Fort Branch, IN, 2 sisters, Carol Ferguson of Petersburg, IN, and Dawn Lindauer of Fort Branch. 2 nieces and 1 nephew, Stacey Yankey, Heather Campbell, and Will Bent.  He is also survived by great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a celebration of life to follow at 7:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN, Rev. Cory Akins will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date.
