Deborah Almira Lockridge (Foster), of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, while in the company of her family and the compassionate care of Nicole and her hospice team.
Deborah was born on July 21, 1948, in Terre Haute, IN. She spent her childhood in the small towns of Odon and Elnora, IN, and attended Elnora School from elementary through high school. As a young adult, she moved to Bloomington, IN, where she worked for RCA for over 25 years. She continued her career there when the company transitioned to Thomson Electronics in 1988. In 2000, she began working at Indiana University, where she remained until her retirement in 2019.
Deborah is survived by her son, Kelly (Melissa) Foster of Newburgh; her grandson, Brandon (Lauren) Foster; and her three great-grandsons, Owen, Caleb, and Chase of Lawrenceburg, IN. She is also survived by her sisters, Connie (the late Steven) Hammer of Washington, IN, and Vickie (Gary) Roberts of Linton, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentis and Donna Foster, and her grandson, Cameron Foster.
Memorial services will be on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Pastor Randy Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sugarland Memory Gardens in Washington, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aseracare Hospice (6724 Morgan Ave, Suite A, Evansville, IN 47715) or It Takes a Village Animal Rescue (https://itvrescue.org).
