Obituary

Debra Rose Stephenson, 75, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Envive of Evansville on September 14, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1949, in Washington, IN, to the late Otto Sieviking and Edith (Hand) Dillion, and was later adopted and raised by her stepfather, the late George Dillion.

Mrs. Stephenson graduated from Washington High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Indiana State University Evansville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Branch and more recently attended St. John Daylight Catholic Church in Daylight, IN. She was passionate about collecting Elvis memorabilia and angel figurines. She also valued staying connected with her family, calling no less than ten times a day, and cherished time spent with Aaliyah Scott, Donovan Scheessele, Marcus Scott, Christopher Scheessele, Remington Southworth, Annalee Southworth, and her grandson Harley Main.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 12 years, Fred Stephenson of Fort Branch; her children, William Roscoe (Lisa) Main of Owensville, and Rosetta (Jason) Marksberry of Danville, IN; her step-son, Jonathan Stephenson; one grandchild, Harley Robert Main; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, with Father Chris Forler officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment and committal rites will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in honor of her nephew, Donovan Scheessele. Condolences and expressions of sympathy may be shared at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
