IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deidra Darlene
Potts
May 18, 1982 – March 12, 2025
Deidra Darlene Potts, 42, of Newburgh passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2025, at her parent's home in Newburgh, IN.
Deidra was born on May 18, 1982, to Doug and Donna (Graper) Potts at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Deidra graduated from Castle High School in 2000 and went on to graduate from Purdue University as a Doctor of Pharmacy. Family was Deidra's first priority above anything else. She never saw a baby she didn't want to hold. She was also very passionate about traveling and was dedicated to serving her community as a Pharmacist with CVS for 25 years. Deidra was an avid supporter of every wildlife organization, although her favorite "wildlife" was a toy stuffed animal. She was a 10-year Warrick County 4-H member of Castle Community 4-H Club excelling at county and state levels. Some project areas Deidra focused on were arts and crafts, home environment, and sewing, just to name a few. In her free time, she deeply enjoyed completing color-by-number pictures and assembling puzzles. Her most recent self-challenge was to find out how quickly she could complete Lego masterpieces. Many of these pieces of art became gifts to her family and some were displayed at her CVS pharmacy. Deidra enjoyed sports and could land a 3-pointer with ease. Deidra was always looking for Purdue memorabilia to add to her collection found throughout her Newburgh home and couldn't pass up a pair of Nike shoes. No matter what Deidra was doing - she gave it her all.
Deidra is survived by her loving parents, Doug and Donna Potts; 2 brothers, Derrick (Jamie) Potts and Dustin Potts; 2 nieces dear to her heart, Delanie and Desie Potts; aunts and uncles, Deanna and Rick Wilson, Godmother Diana and Steve Dycus, Donald and Lisa Graper, Debbie and Jay Stevens, Monica and Mike Atkins, Ed and Lucy Potts, and Mike and Melanie Potts; numerous cousins; and so many close friends and coworkers.
Deidra is preceded by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Evelyn Graper; paternal grandparents, Mary and Winton Potts; and godfather, Jerry Potts.
