Dennis R. Wilkerson, 69, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born to the late Dallas and Mary (Riley) Wilkerson on Dec. 24, 1946 in Fort Branch, IN.

Dennis was a 24 year veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post # 2714.

Besides his parents, Dennis is also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister, John, Eugene, and Donnie (Jake) Wilkerson, and Pauline Hall.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Luella Spalding of Washington, IN and Margaret Wilkerson of Princeton, IN.  He is also survived by his sister in-law, Mary Wilkerson of Fort Branch, IN and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a very special friend, who he thought of as a brother, William Grubb of Haubstadt, IN

There will be no visitation.  A military graveside service will be conducted by the Fort Branch VFW Post #2714 at the Walnut Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM.  Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch has been entrusted to handle arrangements.
