Derek W. Deer, 23, of Haubstadt, IN, Passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2005 in Evansville, IN. He was born to Daniel R. and Martha J. (Kissel) Deer on May 25, 1981 in Evansville, IN. Derek was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. Derek was a 1999 Graduate of Gibson Southern High School. He was a partime student at the University of Evansville and would have graduated in May with a Masters Degree in Health Administration. He served a 2 year internship in Health Services at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was Vice President of HSA (Health Services Administration) and the assistant manager of the NAPA parts store in Haubstadt, IN. Derek is survived by his parents, Daniel and Martha Deer, 3 brothers Philip Deer of El Segundo CA., Tyler and Justin Deer both at home. He is also survived by his grandparents Donald and Martha Deer of Haubstadt, IN and Leo and Florence Kissel of Haubstadt, IN. Also surviving are several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 11:00 A.M., at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, Father Tony Ernst will be the celebrant, burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call for visitation on Wenesday, March 16, 2005 at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
