Diane Vaught Smith, 76, of Owensville passed away surrounded by her family on December 19, 2024, at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

Diane was born on May 10, 1948, in Evansville to the late Floyd Alonzo and Helen Ruby (Sharp) Vaught.

Diane enjoyed needlework, painting, and gardening flowers. She was an avid perfectionist and lover of art. Diane was a member of Dayspring Church in Owensville.

Diane is survived by 6 children, Jeff (Andrea) Smith of Newburgh, Jody (Rachael) Smith of Mt. Carmel, IL, Julia (Adam) Lee of Owensville, James (Aimee) Smith of Haubstadt, Jon (Julie) Smith of Poquoson, VA, and Jalia (Nicholas) Pegram of Haubstadt; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Evadean Gordon.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Pastor Scott Burr officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time. A committal service will follow at Owensville Cemetery.
