Donald G. Ziliak, 74, of Haubstadt, IN., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6th, 2010 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. He was born on May 9th, 1935 in Haubstadt, IN. to the late John and Mildred (Zehner) Ziliak. Don was a member of St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN., and the Haubstadt Knights of Columbus. He was a Korean war Veteran having served in the U.S, Marine Corp. and was a member of the Fort Branch VFW Post 2714. Don was retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Besides his parents Don is also preceded by his wife Clara (Simpson) Ziliak, who passed away on June 14th, 2003 and a son Roger Ziliak, who passed away on Apr. 9th, 1967. He is survived by 3 sons, Randy (Jamie) Ziliak of Haubstadt, IN., Robert (Laurie)Ziliak of Fort Branch, IN., and Ryan (Jody) Ziliak of Sherwood, North Dakota, 4 Step Children, Sherry (Doug) Barnhart of Calsot, Ark., Darryl Adams of Evansville, IN., Dale Adams of Rockport, IN., and Shelly (Paul) Cooper of Dale, IN.. Also surviving is a brother David Ziliak of Ferdinand, IN , 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild, 10 Step-grandchildren, and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 9th, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN., Father Tony Ernst and Father John Sasse will be the celebrants. Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 8th, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. A rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. Military services will follow after the mass, outside of the church on Saturday. Burial will be at a later date. The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St.s Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to Vista Care Hospice.
