Doris Jean (Skelton) Schwiersch, 85, of Haubstadt, IN passed away at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City, IN on Sunday, August 27, 2017. She was born to the late Vernon and Cleta Marie Rita (Schuley) Skelton on January 9, 1932 in Mackey, IN.

She was a member of the Tabor United Methodist Church in Haubstadt, IN.She was a homemaker and a great cook. She loved to be outdoors and loved taking care of her family.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harold Schwiersch, son Melvin Stunkel, and an infant daughter.

She is survived by her son Michael Schwiersch of Haubstadt, IN, brothers Jim and Joe Skelton both of Mackey, IN, grandchildren Michelle, Alan, and Mandy Stunkel. 7 great grandchildren, and special friend Charlotte Luhring of Haubstadt, IN.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN with Rev. Steve Akins officiating. Donations can be made to Mount Tabor Cemetery Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN.
