Obituary

Dylan Mathew Coston, 24, of Haubstadt, IN was called home to Heaven by his Lord and Savior, according to God's plan, on October 15, 2025. Dylan was born on August 4, 2001, in Newburgh, Indiana, to Danny Coston and Lisa (Bartley) Norman. He graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 2019. Dylan worked at Toyota for six years and had most recently begun a position with Restoration 1 of Evansville to allow himself the opportunity to grow in faith and his music career.

A man of deep faith, Dylan was an active member of Vertical Church in Fort Branch, where he was a part of the worship team. He also had opportunities to play at other churches, using his gifts to glorify God and bless others. Dylan was a shining light through anyone's dark time. He would talk about Jesus with anyone who would listen and often led people to the Lord or strengthened their relationship with him. He was truly talented and did anything he set his mind on. He played multiple instruments including guitar, drums, saxophone, and many more. He was gifted a voice to not only sing but to use his music to lead people to God. Anytime Dylan could, he would change the lyrics to a song to make sure everyone heard about Jesus. He was a leader. He started his own band "Dylan Coston and the Drifters" who played all over southern Indiana and into Southern Illinois. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially boating, riding ATVs, and spending time with his friends and family.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Mark 10:45

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul Bartley.

Dylan is survived by his parents, Lisa and Steven Norman of Elberfeld, and Danny Coston; his sister, Brittany (Shane) Wilhite of Evansville; half-brother, Bryce Brown of Lynnville; grandparents Janet Bartley of Eldorado, IL, Dave and Jane Norman of Birdseye, IN, and Don and Carla Coston of Carmi, IL; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
