Eddie Shafer, 83, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on August 5, 2020 in Newburgh IN. He was born to the late Edgar C. and Frances Ivy (Truckee) Shafer on Aug. 11, 1936 in Oakland City, IN.

Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi in 2019 as well as 9 brothers and sisters. Eddie worked at Temple Inland Container.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his grandchildren.

He is survived by 3 children, Donna Brown of Princeton, IN, Cynthia (David) Miller of Francisco, IN, and Marshal Shafer of Princeton, IN; 12 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, and his two kitty cats, Nosy and Buckshot.

A Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Military Honors will be performed by the Veterans of Gibson County.
