Eleanor W. Garrett, 88, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Louisville, KY. She was born on Sept. 2, 1921 to the late Albert and Elizabeth Brown. Eleanor graduated from Central normal college in Danville, IN in 1942 and taught kindergarten for 30 years in the North Gibson School Corperation. She was a member of the Eastern star and currently was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY. Besides her parents Eleanor is preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce West and Marion Garrett, and her brothers, Kenneth, Ross, and Bernard Brown. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Judi (Tim) Bryant, Jill (Don) Harris, Stepdaughter, Sue (Jack) Almon, Stepson, Michael (Irma) Garrett, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Service for Eleanor will be on Saturday July 24, 2010 at 2 pm at the Maumee General Baptist Church in Johnson IN with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch IN, Rev. Ken Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday July 23, 2010 at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch IN and again from 12pm to time of service at the church on Saturday.
