Elizabeth “Betty” A. Seib, aged 94, of Fort Branch, Indiana, passed away on March 25, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. Betty was cherished as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and godmother. Born to John and Frances (Schaefer) Seib on May 31, 1931, in Fort Branch, she dedicated her life to family and community.
An active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Betty served as lifelong treasurer for the Knights of St. John Ladies’ Auxiliary and volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known for her homemaking skills, Betty made the most sought-after dressing and cakes for family celebrations. Her original recipes were contributed to the cookbook written by the Knights of St. John Auxiliary. Her hobbies included camping, crocheting, caring for house plants, solving puzzles, and playing clabber and solo.
Betty has reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert W. Seib; her parents, John V. and Frances Seib; her son, Terrence Seib; daughter, Linda Clark; brother, Edwin Seib; and sisters, Edna Mae Tenseth and Angela Wargel.
She is survived by her children: Larry (Lisa) Seib of Evansville, Leah (Jeff) Bucherl of Boonville, Elaine (David) Lord of Kennesaw, Georgia, Gary (Tricia) Seib of Evansville, and David (Carrie) Seib of Evansville; son-in-law, Don Clark of Evansville; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four godchildren.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at West River Healthcare Facility and Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, officiated by Father Gary Kaiser. The rosary and prayer services will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by visitation until mass time at the church. Burial and committal service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s honor to the Pink Ladies at Gibson General Hospital at 1808 Sherman Drive, Princeton, IN, 47670.
