Geneieve L. (Geny) Ashworth, 73, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born to the late Amel W. and Edna D. (Loveless) Reed on Feb. 3, 1938 in Arthur, IN. Geny as she was known to her friends and family, was a member of the Fort Branch Wesleyan Church. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Reed, 2 sisters, Patricia Ann, and Carol JoAnn Reed. Geny is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Owen Ashworth of Evansville, IN, a son, Jerry Eugene Ashworth of Utah, 2 sistrers, Mary E, Wilkerson and Beverly D. Warren both of Fort Branch, IN, and a brother Richard L. Reed, also of Fort Branch, IN. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fort Branch Wesleyan Church, Pastor Richard Comer officiating, burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 west in Fort Branch, IN, and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Friday.
