George Grant Feaster, 78, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at his home surrounded by his family and friends on August 8, 2022. He was born to the late George Abner and Helen (Bynum) Feaster on May 23, 1944, in Vergennes, IL.
Grant was a member of Vertical Church in Fort Branch, IN and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked in mechanical maintenance for Emge Meat Packing for 12 years and retired from Alcoa in 2005 after 28 years of service. He had many hobbies including fishing, golfing, birdwatching, and woodworking. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Alice France, Janet Venable, and Shirley Mason.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Cindy Feaster; his children, Brad (Brooke) Feaster of Linton, IN and Beth (Jon) Schmitt of Fort Branch,IN; sisters, Annie Pirkle and Kathy Feaster both of Oakland City, IN; 6 grandchildren, Grant (Tabor) Schmitt, Spencer (Mariah) Schmitt, Claire Schmitt, Jacob Feaster, Samuel Feaster, and Thomas Feaster; and 5 great grandchildren, Grace, Nora, Ruthie, Mirabella, and Houston Schmitt.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Vertical Church in Fort Branch with Pastor Richard Clark officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until service time both at Vertical Church. Donations in his honor can be made to Vertical Church or Helping His Hands.
