George Judson Krieg, 85, of Fort Branch IN passed away at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN on September 23, 2024, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Clarence and Altha (Vaught) Krieg on July 24, 1939, in Owensville, IN. George deeply enjoyed collecting tractors, farming, and spending time with his loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a member of Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton, IN. He graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1957, and he served our country in the United States Air Force Reserve. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Krieg; son-in-law Pete Dunkel; and nephew Jeff Krieg. George is survived by his Fiancé, Sherlon McCutchan of Fort Branch; children, Lisa Dunkel of Fort Branch, Kathy (Joe) Knapp of Haubstadt, and Lucinda (Ken) Mayer of Fort Branch; a brother Fred Krieg of Evansville; sister-in-law, Tonya (Scott) Macer; grandchildren, Andrew (Annie) Dunkel, Matthew Dunkel, Timothy (Karla) Dunkel, Melissa (Jordan) Kaiser, Megan (Kameron) Wade, Daniel (Shylynn) Knapp, Kara (Will) Hawkins, Damon (Jordan) Mayer, Hanna (Ben) Bruns; great grandchildren, Jeter, Albany, Vera, Emma, Eli, Luke, Elijah, Zoey, Kennedy, Jack, and Baby Girl Kaiser on the way; and a niece and several nephews. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by the Veterans of Gibson County at Owensville Cemetery. Donations in his honor can be made to Bethel Memorial Church or the Linda E. White Hospice House. Expressions of sympathy can be made at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
