A loving mother and grandmother was taken by the Lord on December 6, 2023, at 90 years old. She was born and raised in RoEllen, Tennessee, daughter of Chester Tilley and Myrtle Smith.

Georgia was a hardworking woman who touched the lives of many by always extending a helping hand. She enjoyed her grandchildren, raising farm animals, and her dogs. She worked for Gibson Southern High School for 19 years and was a member of the VFW post #2714 Women's Auxiliary and the Princeton Eagles Women's Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her father, Chester Tilley; mother, Myrtle Smith; son, Edward Sterchi, Jr; two brothers, Fred and Clay Tilley; a sister, Lucille Sellers; and ex-husband, Edward Sterchi.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Tilley, daughters, Rosemary Taylor of Halls, TN and Sandra Williams of Fort Branch, IN; 6 grandchildren, Angela Ward, Stephanie Young, Jeremy Williams, Holly Greer, Clint Greer, and Casey Heuring; and 6 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Gentiva Hospice staff for their outstanding knowledge and compassion to help make life more comfortable over the past two years. In addition, thank you to the Fort Branch Fire Department for always assisting when needed.

Per the family's request, no services will be held, but prayers are much appreciated for the peace and comfort of the family.
