Geraldine E Eads, 89, of Fort Branch IN passed on Thursday August 25, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville IN. She was born to the late Bertis and Esther (Whittman) McIntyre on February 9, 1922 in Gibson County IN. She was a member of the Bethel Temple Community Church in Evansville IN for where she was a recruiter as well as a dedicated volunteer for the shut in ministry for 33 yrs and a member of the senior adult choir, a member of the Christian Life Center since 1986 where she volunteered in the food service area. She was retired from Emge Meat Packing with over 40 yrs of service, a WWII Veteran having served in the US Navy as a WAVES. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She loved spending time with her family, care giving, and giving to others. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Essex Eads who passed away February 9, 1974, also a brother Ben McIntyre and a sister Maxine Karaff. She is survived by 1 foster child, Jerald (J.D.) Eads with whom she raised of Bellflower IL, 2 sisters, Lois Taylor of Fort Branch, IN, and Hazel Adams of Princeton IN 6 foster grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services for Geraldine will be Monday, August 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch IN located on Hwy 168 West with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday August 28, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and again from 9:00 am till service time on Monday.
