Gordon L. Henning, 73, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at the Deaconess Hospital in Evansville on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. He was born to the late Ivan and Lillian (Griffith) Henning on May 30, 1938 in Augusta , IN. Gordon was retired from the Maintainance Dept. of the Alcoa Plant in Warrick Co.. He was a member of the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge # 696. Gordon was a true craftsman and a man of many talents. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy (Winland) Henning and 4 children, Kim Hagan of Evansville, IN, Lisa Henning of Henderson, KY, Kristy Keith of Owensville, IN, and Tony Henning of Fort Branch, IN, a brother Tim Henning of Fort Branch, IN, a sister, Melba Russell of Fordsville, KY. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Brandon and Brian Hagan, Cody Keith, Leah Helsley, and Ashby Henning. A memorial service celebrating Gordons life will be on Wed. Aug. 24, 2011 a 7:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, burial will be at a later date. a visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until service time, Wed. at the funeral home. The family request that donations be made to the Paws Rescue in Petersburg, IN.
