Gwenda Lynn Deal

Gwenda Lynn Deal, 83, of Owensville, IN, passed away at home with her family by her side on September 8, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1943, in Farmersburg, IN, to the late Harold and Ruth (May) Caskey.

Gwenda attended Mackey Church of the Nazarene and, after high school, studied at Lockyear’s Business School. She worked for 18 years as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Gibson General Hospital. Always on the go, Gwenda stayed busy and liked going out to new places to eat.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Wayne “Tom” Deal; her son-in-law, Michael Wagner; four sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Wagner of Evansville, IN, Pamela (Dennis) Grubb of Owensville, IN, and Tomi (Glen) Ramsey of Owensville, IN; eight grandchildren, Jordan Ramsey, Jayci (Jake) Reinbrecht, Joshua (Kayleigh) Wagner, Taylor Wagner, Bayli Grubb, Auberi Grubb, Andy (Becky) Wagner, and Krissa (Josh) Stevens; and six great-grandchildren, Autumn, Brilee, Ireland, Wyatt, Jebson, and Walter.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Clark Cemetery in Owensville Officiated by Reverend Bill Reed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stodghill Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at stodghillfuneralhome.com.
