Harold O. Land, 105, passed to his eternal rest Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation Center, Summerville, SC. Mr. Land was born July 1, 1911 in Young Harris, GA to the late A.E. Daniel and Edna Land.

He leaves behind a legacy of being a kind, gentle, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Land was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Marie, two sons, Wendell and Lawrence, a grandson Dwayne and great granddaughter Hannah Grace.

He is survived by daughter Louise (Tom) Sage, of Summerville, SC, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on May 31, 2017 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with services at 11:00 AM. Steve Akins will be officiating the service with a burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Local arrangements are by Parks Funeral Home, Summerville, SC. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
