Herbert (Dot) Simpson, 78, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at his residence on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010. He was born to the late Herbert and Thodssia (Hutchinson) Simpson in Pugh Flats, KY on Apr. 16, 1932. Dot was a retired electrician with Whirlpool Corp. after 16 years of service. He was a member of the Dayspring Assembly of God. He loved Hunting and camping. Dot is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pam (Besing) Simpson of Haubstadt, IN, 4 children; Randy Simpson, Rhonda Cornett, Rodney Simpson, all of Evansville, IN, and Stacy Scherzer of Haubstadt, IN, 2 brothers; J.W. Simpson of Louisville, KY, and Dillard Simpson of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Nicole and Bobby Cornett, Kyle, Cody, Clay, and Kenzy Scherzer, and Joshua Simpson, 1 great grandchild; Landon Schindler. Services for Dot will be on Saturday, Nov.27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, with Pastor Scott Burr officiating, burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
