Agnes Imogene Higginbotham, 98, of Owensville, IN, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 9, 2024, at West River Health Campus in Evansville, IN. She was born to the late Hobart and Clara (Richardson) Wilson on October 1, 1925, in Johnson, IN. She is preceded by her husband, James David Higginbotham, sister, Rosalie Lucille Davis and brothers, Roy Lee Wilson and Alan Wayne Wilson. Imogene was a homemaker and a member of the Owensville First Christian Church. In addition, she enjoyed being an active member of the Amity Club and a Pink Lady. She was happiest at home surrounded by her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. One of her favorite pastimes was tending to her flowerbeds and having coffee with friends. Imogene is survived by her sons, Collin Dean (Randa) Higginbotham, Owensville, IN; James Alan (Bonnie) Higginbotham, Saylorsburg, PA; and a daughter, Jennifer (Roy) Doyle, New York NY, 7 grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, a brother, Everett Ray Wilson. Visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Stodghill Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bart Newton officiating. A burial will follow at Owensville Cemetery.
