Irma Rose Rexing, 90, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, IN, on October 22, 2024. She was born to the late Florian and Leoma (Adler) Wilzbacher in Haubstadt, IN, on February 8, 1934.

Irma was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a member of the Alter Society, Monday morning quilters, and 67-year member of the Daughters of Isabella #151. In her spare time, Irma enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, sewing, embroidery and other crafts.  Flower and vegetable gardening along with canning occupied summer months.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Norman Rexing in 2022; and siblings, John, Joe, Eugene, Austin, Gerald, and Robert Wilzbacher.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Ron (Jane) Rexing of Haubstadt, IN and Donna (Gene) Kiesel of Fort Branch, IN; siblings, Arlene Steckler of Evansville, IN and Rita Morris of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Robert (Bethany) Rexing of Indianapolis, IN, Lisa (Zach) Taylor of Haubstadt, IN, Becky (Jeremy) Mann of Haubstadt, IN, Shelly (Corey) Heldt of Fort Branch, IN, and Amanda Kiesel of Fort Branch, IN; great grandchildren, Meredith, Henry, and Ruth Mann, Elliott and Rachel Rexing, and Aubrey and Jenna Heldt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt with Father Kenneth Betz as celebrant with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until mass time. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with recitation of the rosary performed by the Daughters of Isabella at 3:30 p.m. Donations in her honor can be made to St. James Church and School or to the charity of your choice.
