Jack Lee Farmer, age 66, of Owensville, Indiana, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Transcendent Health Care in Owensville. Born on June 6, 1959, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Robert Ewing Farmer and Deloris (Harper) Farmer.
Jack graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1977 and worked as a millwright for 38 years with Duke Energy. He began his career in 1986 and retired earlier this year. In his younger days, he enjoyed deer hunting, but above all, he took pride in putting in an honest, hard day’s work.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ewing Farmer, and his sister, Patty Riley.
Jack is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen (Knight) Farmer, of Owensville; his mother, Deloris Farmer, also of Owensville; his children, Stacy Wickware of Evansville, Stephen (Becky) Dillon of Princeton, and Brandy (John) Abel of Princeton; his siblings, Bob (Barbara) Farmer of Mount Carmel, Illinois, and Tim (Susan) Farmer of Princeton; his brother-in-law, Ron Riley of Princeton; his grandchildren, Hadley, Sophie, Chloe, Alton, Keegan, Jevyn, and Blake; and his nephews, Ronnie (Sharon) Riley, Patrick (Chandra) Riley, Austin Farmer, and Donnie (Gina) Farmer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Bobbit officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Saulmon Cemetery in Poseyville, Indiana.
