Jack M McCarty,81,of Fort Branch, IN. passed away on Feb. 19, 2010, at Specialty Select Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born on December 15th, 1928 in Gibson County, IN. to the late Arthur and Mary McCarty. Jack worked for the Town of Fort Branch and was a Security Guard.He was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church, a Life Member of V.F.W Post #2714 and was a WWII Veteran. Besides his parents Jack is preceded in death by his Wife of 45 years, Betty (Watson) McCarty, sisters Emma Lou Sollman and Pauline Roberson He is survived by 2 children, Son Richard (Tammy) McCarty of Haubstadt, and a daughter, Becky McCarty of Fort Branch, 3 grandchildren Rick McCarty Jr., Melissa Spindler, and Barry McCarty and 2 great grandchildren, Cameron and Kelsey Spindler. Services for Jack will be on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Stodghill Funeal Home in Fort Branch, IN. with Rev. John Windell officiating, burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN with a Military Service conducted by V.F.W. Post #2714 and American Legion Post #194 at the cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 22nd, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch.
