James E. Vaughn, 74, of Francisco, IN, passed away at Golden Living Center in Petersburg, IN on July 9, 2019. He was born to the late Edward and LaVern (Stark) Vaughn on June 4, 1945 in Floyd County, IN.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, IN, served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Duke Energy in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Besides his parents, James is preceded in death by a sister, Judith Mattingly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Carol (Howell) Ritchie-Vaughn; 4 sisters, Jean (Tom) Vaughn of New Albany, IN, Janice Bays of Corydon, IN, JoAnn Jeffries of Louisville, KY, and June (Michael) King of Corydon, IN; one brother, Jeffrey (Patty) Vaughn of Leavenworth, IN; and a brother-in-law, Joe Mattingly of Corydon, IN.

Services will be private per family's request. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus, IN.
