Janet Faye (Pohl) Becht, 53, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on January 21, 2018. She was born to Harold and Bernadette (Riedford) Pohl in Evansville, IN on December 28, 1964.
Family and friends were Janet's passion and life's work. She will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm smile and enduring optimism. Even when faced with grave health issues, her strong will and abiding determination were a comfort to her family. Janet will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Pohl.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Randall Becht, of Haubstadt, IN, four children: Heather Becht of Atlanta, GA, Justine (Steven) Mayer of Fort Branch, IN, Jasmine and Grant Becht both of Haubstadt, IN; two grandchildren Jennifer and William Mayer; mother Bernadette Pohl of Fort Branch, IN; eight brothers and sisters: Kathy (Mike) Finley of Tell City, IN, Karen (Larry) Hampton of Evansville, IN, Jim (Pat) Pohl of Fort Branch, IN, Ron (Joanie) Pohl of Evansville, IN, David (Billie) Pohl of Mt. Carmel, IL, Gary (Tonya) Pohl of Avon, IN, Debbie (Rich) Green of Brownstown, IN, and Amber (Shane) Sexton of Fort Branch, IN; father and mother-in-Law David and Tony Becht of Canyon Lake, TX; brother and sister-in-laws David Becht (Debra) of Evansville, IN and Terry Becht (Karen) of San Antonio, TX
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN with Fathers Tony Ernst and Ambrose Wanyonyi as co-celebrants with Reverend Gary Fair as guest officiant. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 10:00 AM to service time. Rosary services will be on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Stodghill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Gilda's Club Evansville.
