Jean Romerhausen, 81, of Fort Branch, IN. passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4th, 2009 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN. She was born on Feb. 2nd, 1928 to the late Walter and Marcia (McCoy) Griswold in Griffin, IN. Jean was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian Church and the Fort Branch Order of Eastern Star. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Romerhausen who passed away on July 13th, 1996. She is survived by 2 children and their spouses, James K. (Angie) Romerhausen of Evansville, and Jan (John) Smith of Fort Branch. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Doug and Nick Romerhausen, Amy, and Jill Smith. Services for Jean will be on Thursday, Oct. 8th, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral; Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN., Dr. James Cramer will officiate, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Vistation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 7th, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Shriners Hospital.
