Jeffrey K Sides, 63, of Fort Branch, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2026 at Heart to Heart Hospice in Evansville. He was born October 13th, 1962 in Princeton to the late William and Sonja (Romerhaus) Sides. Jeff lived most of his life in Fort Branch.
Jeff retired from Toyota where he worked as a welder in one of the warehouses for more than 20 years. Previously, Jeff had careers in construction, abatement, and retail, beginning his strong work ethic as a young boy helping his dad at the family business, Fort Branch Shoe Repair. Jeff will always be remembered for his charm, quick wit, intelligence, and kindness. He was an animal lover, enjoyed the outdoors and would never pass up the opportunity to chase a tornado or a sunset.
Jeff is survived by his long-time girlfriend Edie Billhimer, bonus children Chara, Michaela and Dennis, and son Robert Huertas (Ariel), granddaughter Emery and a grandson due in September. Also surviving are brother Rick Sides (Elaine), sister Sheri Heldt (Tim), brother Mike Sides (Leslie) and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff asked that donations be made to Gibson County Animal Services, a place he supported regularly.
As Jeff requested, a casual celebration of life open house will be held on Sunday, August 30th, from 12:00 until 6:00 pm at Pine and Co. 15901 Petersburg Rd. Evansville.
